This piece is as much a small sculpture as it is a functional piece. Carved, sculpted or assembled by hand in wax, with the insertion of vegetal pieces and then cast in bronze, it still keeps traces of the process and tools, with a smooth but detailed surface.

These pieces are part of “an object of thought”, a body of work that explores functional sculptural shapes, in very small series or as one of a kind objects. They embrace the raw nature of the material, the unexpected in the production process and a more manual and unrestrained approach to metal work.
Bronze develops a patina overtime, which is part of the character of this metal. I personally find it beautiful, but it is also easy to revive, you can ask me how!
