This piece is as much a small sculpture as it is a functional piece. Carved, sculpted or assembled by hand in wax then cast in bronze, it still keeps traces of the process and tools, with a smooth but detailed surface.

These pieces are part of “an object of thought”, a body of work that explores functional sculptural shapes, some in very small series and some as one-of-a-kind objects. They embrace the raw nature of the material, the unexpected in the production process and a more manual and unrestrained approach to metal work.
Bronze develops a patina overtime, which is part of the character of this metal. I personally find it beautiful, but it is also easy to revive, you can ask me how!
